Frequently Asked Questions
THINGS YOU ASK
I'd be embarrassed to ask you to come and clear my clutter
I promise you that whatever your clutter is, I will have seen worse. The whole process of decluttering and reorganising means that by and large, things always get worse before they get better and we all have to start somewhere. There is nothing more rewarding than bringing order where there was chaos and my job is to help you get rid of the clutter, not to judge you. Honestly.
Why should I use you? Can't I do it myself?
Sometimes clutter can so overwhelm us that we lose the motivation to tackle it. As a qualified Life Coach, I can help you by taking a totally non judgemental approach to clearing your clutter which in turn will help you to organise and take control of your life. I will bring humour and understanding to the process which in turn, will hopefully motivate and inspire you to continue the good works, long after I have left you.
Will you tell me what I need and don't need?
My role is to guide you, not tell you. I will ask the questions which will enable you to find the answers so that the end result is one which will make you feel happy and in control. In the end, it's your decision what is clutter and what is not but sometimes it helps if someone else can put a diffferent perspective on it. Of course occasionally you might get distracted, in which case it is my job to keep you focused but other than that, I will do my best to make sure we work together, as a team, to fulfil your goals, not mine.
How much time will it take to sort out my clutter?
That depends on the scale of the decluttering and how much time you have (since we will need to work together on most jobs). Two hours is usually the minimum and up to six hours maximum in any one session. The key is to set realistic goals at the outset so that we are both clear on what we have to achieve in the time available. Sometimes, a one off blitz is all that is needed and on others, repeat visits are required depending on the scale of the project. I like to think of getting rid of clutter as an art, rather than a science, but in all cases I will make recommendations at the outset as to how long I think the process is going to take.
What areas do you cover?
I am based in SW London so tend to cover areas within the M25. Most of my clients are in London and the home counties although I am happy to travel further if necessary. Alternatively, I can put you in touch with a fellow professional nearer to you who can help you sort out your clutter and get organised.
What happens to all the clutter we clear out? You decide what you want to do with it which can include: Recycling it; Storing it; Giving it to charity; Selling it or Auctioning it Whatever you decide, I can help you (within reason).
